Fiber-optic communication cables of the brand OTD (OTDN) and OTM (OTMN) are not distinguished by any features. They are designed for installation in plastic pipes, so there are no special requirements for their protection against mechanical damage, but the cable has excellent moisture resistance. This type of cable is often used indoors, the outer sheath can be made of non-combustible or non-emitting halogen-free material when burning, which meets fire safety requirements.
The cables contain a central power element (CSE) made of fiberglass (D) or a steel cable (M) insulated with polyethylene, optical modules with fibers and cordets are stranded around the CSE. CEs wrapped with water blocking threads.
The free space in the optical modules is filled with a hydrophobic filler.
